Welcome to
Whether you are rolling a D20, building your next Commander deck, or simply looking for a quiet space to exist without expectations, your session starts here.
Save Point is a dedicated community for neurodivergent young adults (aged 15-25) to connect, play, and recharge away from the pressures of traditional social and educational environments.
We are a registered Community Interest Company built on the principle of radical transparency and co-production.
Traditional youth clubs often rely on high-demand, high-sensory environments that can lead to masking and burnout.
Save Point offers an alternative: structured, low-demand socialization through tabletop gaming, miniature wargaming, and a moderated digital hub.
We use the tools of the trade—from Dungeons & Dragons to Warhammer 40,000—to reduce social isolation and build genuine peer-to-peer support networks at a pace that works for you.
A space designed with neurodiversity in mind, there is no need to mask or perform here. Play with others or solo, at your own pace.
Regular tabletop role playing game sessions to experience social encounters with no consequences.
We want the space to feel welcoming no matter how your day is going. Different zones for different needs, with clearly defined rules of encounter.
Parallel Play: If you want to jump into a campaign, the table is yours. If you prefer to sit quietly with your sketchbook or iPad and just enjoy the atmosphere, that is completely fine too.
The Social Battery: We utilize non-verbal communication tools, allowing you to signal your energy levels and boundaries without needing to explain yourself.
The Two-Door Approach: Connect in-person at our local pop-up venues, or engage asynchronously through our secure, member-only digital forum.
We are currently rolling for initiative and finalizing our core setup, including our physical venue profiles and our safeguarding infrastructure.
Later this summer, we will be hosting our first annual “Free Fly” open day—a zero-commitment, low-stakes opportunity for families, referrers, and young adults to tour the physical space, check out the tables, and calculate their cognitive load.
Check back soon for our official launch dates, referral pathways, and full community guidelines.
Come as you are, stay for as long as you like, and recharge without any expectation to mask or perform. Whether you want to roll dice or just sit quietly with your headphones, you set the pace.
We operate strictly on self-identification – no doctor’s notes, clinical assessments, or official paperwork are required to join us. If a neuro-affirming space feels like home to you, you belong here.
Jump into Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, or casual board games with peers. Structured tabletop play makes socialising natural, predictable, and low-anxiety.
Enjoy being around people without the exhausting burden of constant small talk. Paint miniatures, read, or draw in a shared environment where quiet companionship is celebrated.
Can’t make it to the Halifax venue? Connect with peers through our secure digital forum to chat, share hobbies, and build your support network asynchronously from anywhere.
Cost should never keep you isolated. Because we are a Community Interest Company, we use our retail trading and local grants to offer fully subsidised memberships alongside our low-cost passes.
We know that some of you may have lots of questions about the community, how it works, and what you can and cannot do, so here’s a compilation of the most common questions we get asked.
If you have any further questions, just send us an email to matt@savepointcic.co.uk
Save Point is a dedicated third space for neurodivergent young adults, generally aged 15 to 25, based in West Yorkshire. We operate on a strict self-identification basis. You do not need a formal medical diagnosis, a doctor’s note, or any clinical paperwork to join us. If you feel that a low-demand, neuro-affirming space would benefit you, you are welcome here.
Not at all. We are huge advocates for “parallel play.” While there will always be tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons or Magic: The Gathering running, there is zero pressure to participate. If you prefer to sit at a table with your headphones on to draw, read, paint miniatures, or just quietly enjoy the atmosphere without talking to anyone, the space is just as much yours.
We expect it, and we plan for it. Traditional youth spaces demand constant engagement, but Save Point is a low-demand environment. We use non-verbal “social battery” tools that allow you to signal to staff and other members when you are low on energy or don’t want to be approached. If you need to step away, sit in a quiet zone, or just leave early, you can do so at any time with no questions asked and no explanations needed.
We want Save Point to be as accessible as possible. We offer a low-cost day pass (perfect for drop-ins) and an affordable monthly membership that grants unlimited access to the physical venue and our digital hub.
However, because we are a Community Interest Company, we also offer fully funded memberships subsidized by our grant partners. If the cost is a barrier to you attending, you can select a funded spot during sign-up—your membership will look and function exactly the same as everyone else’s.
Absolutely. We understand that walking into a new environment for the first time can be incredibly daunting. Parents, carers, and support workers are very welcome to accompany you, tour the space, and help you settle in. You can decide when, or if, you feel comfortable attending independently.
Yes! We know that physical spaces aren’t always accessible for everyone due to distance, logistics, or sensory barriers. Save Point operates a secure, moderated digital forum for our members. It acts as an asynchronous community hub where you can chat about games, share your artwork, and build peer networks entirely online, at your own pace.
